Personally, I do not like to have to catch program bugs in the products that I purchase. I have used Taxact for years after having problems with TaxCut. This year though, I found error after error with the programming and after I found the fourth one,

Make sure you understand that if you choose the ENDEAVOR card for your refund, know that you may wait longer for your refund than
direct deposit! It is not 7-10 days from IRS acceptance! You will get a ENDEAVOR card, but it has not had the refund

TaxAct is the best! Parsons Technology had the best tax preparation software, which is why Intuit (owner of TurboTax) bought Parsons. After that, the accountants/CPAs who had developed the Parsons software formed 2nd Story Software, and introduced TaxAct

I have used TaxAct with it's eFile for years. In the past once I sent in my return I was able to print the form. This year when I went to print an Upgrade box popped up. Since I did not want to upgrade I closed the box. The only option available was

Absolutely ridiculous that site crashes on April 14th. I have been trying to log in since 5PM EST, now 12:30AM EST. Is it really possible for a tax site to not have enough band width to operate at a near normal speed on tax day? It is taking upwards

Our tax prep is fairly straightforward: standard deductions except I include Schedule C, which disqualifies me from the free filing. No problem: for $17 to e-file both Fed and State it's a bargain.
