eFile Express is a basic product that offers few advanced features, yet is low priced at $7.00. The program is not as easy to use as some of the higher ranked products and they do not offer 24/7 support, so this product may be best suited for those that are filling a simple return without a lot of deductions or extra forms.

Intuitive Navigation:  

There is no navigation to assist you in entering data; you must click on the fields of the forms that you need to enter data into and type. There are a few navigational buttons at the top of the program that are easy to understand and use for saving, printing, or filing your return.

Novice-Friendly:  

Using eFile Express is no different than filling in your tax forms manually except that it is done with a mouse and keyboard instead of a pen. There is no tax help or assistance.

Ease of Sign-up:  

This product comes as a two-part download. You need to download the software piece first and then the tax forms you need. Later, you will need to import the forms into the program.

Feature Set:  

There are no features unique to eFile Express and the service lacks the help, advice and versatility to handle complex returns that other services can manage.

Help/Documentation/Search:  

The only customer service offered is through email. There are minimal help topics located in the product but not enough to help a tax novice.
