If you used the on line version of TaxCut last year you are stuck with it! Since it is horribly slow, I bought the software version this year (premium) only to discover that I cannot import my last year info from the on line version! What a bummer...

Just discovered TaxCut 2008 Premium + State + eFile retail-CD does do NOT include an Interview Q&A (worksheet) for Medical/Dental Expenses Deductions (confirmed by phone with TaxCut Customer Support). Program merely indicates some generic type expenses and says for you to collect and enter total dollar amount into a block. This is unsatisfactory for at least half of all family returns (maybe much more). TurboTax 2007 had a very nice Interview for these medical/dental deductions and provided optional sub-list pop-up for every Worksheet line item. TaxCut2008 seems to have omitted this major Interview module while giving too much effort to far less important and non-applicable Deduction items. So if you need to Itemize your Medical and Dental Expenses (even to judge whether to Itemize), perhaps Turbo Tax is better choice.
